WEDDING SOUVENIERS: found & decided!!!

I (*we*) did it! It's finally ordered! It was a really tough one...
We wanted a souvenier that would mean something to us and to our guests. We wanted to make sure that this was the one since it would mean ordering quite a be of them; and if we were not happy with it after, it's not worth anything at all.
I have proposed quite a few things - if you check out my past blogs...from teas, measuring tape (which I still love), tea strainer, magnets, photo coaster, etc.

We somehow decided that chopsticks is the most practical and closest thing that symbolizes both of us. Ed is a big chopsticks fanatic. He would eat anything and everything in chopsticks even if it's not really meant to be eaten in that way. I, on the other hand, would like to depict a more Chinese and practical/useful feel to signify our wedding...even if it's turning out to be very non-Chinese! I scouted around for every type of chopsticks in existance! Believe me...I've surfed, malled, etc my way to find the perfect chopsticks. I found it after I checked out the Wedding Expo over here in HK. :) Even if I did got all the information and all...I was still looking around for other option, just to make sure that it's the "right item". As I look, I realize more and more that I can't help stop thinking about them...in the end, my mom told me to just inquire how to order and get it over and done with. :P So direct!

I found another store that sells the same thing...though packaging isn't as appealling. To think too that it's like double the price...if not triple since they aren't really giving me any packaging with it!

The cheaper one, WWS, is all the way outside of the city and it was really tough to contact them. They work 5 days a week with working hours 9am-6pm (1-2 for lunch). I have to get my co-worker to call them on my behalf to make it easier. Calling them seems to be even tougher...I and my co-worker always gets the machine! It was a real pain but I think it's just a small hitch in getting a really great item to make our wedding a memorable one!

I know that I asked WWS early last year all lthe questions that I needed - if you check out my previous blogs too. Since it was while back and I increased my order requirements and will be ordering both types of chopsticks, I had to asked some of the questions all over again to make sure that the deal is still the same as what I was informed a few months ago. :)

After a lot of questions and answers...and going back & forth, got it all sorted out and paid the downpayment required. I got it the cheapest one they can give me since I increased the order from 300 to 500! Ordered a lot but it will surely be a hot item that it wont' be a problem disposing them. :)

The rest of my communication with WWS is all through email by then. My contact person for WWS is Wing Chow. She was really nice and patient. I also have to thank Liza for helping me secure all the answers to my many many questions questions!

Now comes the even tough parts:
...parting with the money
...deciding on what to write in the card/tag
...deciding on the layout of the card/tag...then realizing that I can only pick the card stock to where the printing can be done and not be able to change the font color! (Now left with dark red and white fonts...oh crap.)
