THE PROPOSAL: ...the ring arrived!
Take Note the date: 2006 November 24 (8 days after our 4th year anniversary)
Proposal arrived. :)
Short, simple and direct - in his car! :)
Not much details on the proposal, unlike the typical stories that I read and whose friends went through, from Mr. Spontaneous. E didn't want the theatrics or make it elaborate for the world to see. E told me that he was suppose to propose around last month, October, but those plans fell through since the first jeweler that he went to, who I referred him to, had a hard time to get the specific ring that I told him I wanted. He couldn't find it through my supplier (family friend) so he had to resort to another one - his best friend's jeweler.
With the delay, the he had to wait for about another month again. He proposed in his car spontaneously...unscripted...and it all went on gutt-feeling. It was after I arrived home from the airport this Friday, E and I met up for after-dinner coffee and when we were to head back home and in his car, he said "Honey, I have something to ask you." I was hugging him so didn't really see the ring or the box that he whipped out. He whipped something out from his pocket and said "I think it's about time that we get hitched. " Unromantic to some and to what I expected but this is SO him. Short, simple and direct. :)
I'm impressed that he got to keep the box & ring in his pocket all that time and not spill the beans right at the coffee shop. :)
Still not used to wearing it...so afraid that I would scratch it. I love E!

This is the ring it was based on...A Tiffany Fancy Ring. :)He later told me that he wanted to do the whole "kneeling down proposal" but did not have the courage to do it. He would make up for this somehow. ~sweet of him...though I can't really see him do that too...I guess I managed my expectations on that.
