INVITATION IDEAS:

From: Heidi & Michael in Indianapolis, IN
Heidi personally designed the wedding invitations on her home computer, and featured a monogrammed “H” in deep red to match the wedding colors. The all-white invitations were tied with a red ribbon, and kept simple with no pictures, just elegant writing announcing the event.

From: Jodie & Lawrence in San Francisco, CA
“Our wedding invitation was the starting point in reflecting our cultures,” says Jodie. The couple’s invites combined Japanese and Chinese elements with a colorful Japanese washi paper wrap, and featured celadon green paper and red flowers on the outside and the Chinese “double happiness” character in green on the inside. “My father-in-law asked that we not use white for our invitations as he considers it bad luck,” Jodie explains. “As a compromise, the invitations sent to our friends were tied with celadon ribbons, while his parents’ invitations were tied with red ribbons.”

From: Kelly & Peter in Lansing, MI
"This was one of my favorite parts," Kelly says. "The silver backing really made the invitation pop and look more formal. I got so many compliments on them." All the components were tied together with a tiny silver thread, and the flower on the invitations is from a stamp Kelly found.

From: Rebecca & Michael in Hamilton, NJ
The couple invited guests to their nuptials with ecru card stock invitations with black font and a T monogram at the top of the invite. For a touch of fall flair, Rebecca stamped the back of each invite with an oak tree design.
